A dedication ceremony for a Texas Historical Marker for David Medlock, Jr., an African American who served in the 12th Texas Legislature representing Limestone, Falls, and McClennan Counties during Reconstruction, was held on the lawn of the Limestone County Courthouse on November 12, 2025. This marker was the result of Texas Senate Bill 667, which required the placement of markers for the 23 African American men elected to the Texas Legislature during the Reconstruction Era.
