The Bruce A. Jordan Memorial Cemetery Grant is administered by the Limestone County Historical Commission.  The purpose of the grant is to preserve and maintain tombstones and to provide tombstones for unmarked graves in the cemeteries of Limestone County, Texas.  The specific activities eligible for the grant are securing markers for identified individuals in unmarked graves, leveling and straightening leaning tombstones, raising sunken markers, standing up fallen markers, and repairing broken markers.  No other activities will be funded.  Individuals or associations applying for the grant are expected to fund 10% of the cost of materials and labor.

The maximum grant to be awarded for an application is $3,000. Sandy Creek Cemetery was the first recipient of the Bruce A. Jordan Memorial Cemetery Grant. The cemetery received $2700 from the grant, which required the cemetery board to contribute $300 making a total of $3000 that was used to straighten, level, and repair tombstones. This project resulted in the restoration of 40 tombstones.

Brown-McGee Cemetery in Coolidge received $2700 from the grant, which required the cemetery board to contribute $300 making a total of $3000 that was used to straighten, level, and repair tombstones. 

Prairie Hill Cemetery received $2700 from the grant, which required the cemetery board to contribute $300 making a total of $3000 that was used to straighten, level, and repair tombstones.
