The Genealogy Department of the Groesbeck Maffett Public Library has a wonderful collection of genealogy and local history resources.  The library has a staff person in the genealogy department to help those needing assistance.

Historic Bridge Foundation

The Historic Bridge Foundation is a national advocacy organization for the preservation of historic bridges in the United States.  It offers support to all persons interested in bridge preservation through: 1) service as a clearinghouse for information on the preservation of historic bridges via a website and newsletter,  2) identification of and communication with individuals and groups interested in the preservation of historic bridges,  3) consultation with public officials to devise reasonable alternatives to demolishing or adversely affecting historic bridges, and 4) development of educational programs to promote awareness of historic bridges.

The Historical Marker Database

This website is an illustrated searchable online catalog of historical information viewed through the filter of roadside and other permanent outdoor markers, monuments, and plaques. It contains photographs, inscription transcriptions, marker locations, maps, additional information and commentary, and links to more information. Anyone can add new markers to the database and update existing marker pages with new photographs, links, information and commentary.
